friends

today is the in-between day. the three months at the svc ended yesterday, and tomorrow marks the start of another four and a half months at btmice. what can i say, as unprepared as i may be, tomorrow and the rest of my life will come gushing at me before i know it.

i've learnt alot through meeting and greeting, answering queries from tourists and locals, fam trips to the zoo and night safari and what seemed like too many fam trips to clarke quay, handling complaints and talking to the more experienced senior guides.

but more importantly, i've gotten to know great people in the course of having daily cups of teh-c siu dai from toast box, dancing on the podium, singing karaoke, visiting the famed shoe shop at that particular mall and thinking of ingenuous ways to kill time on a saturday night while sitting in the dim lights at the duck tours counter. the word 'colleague' scares me so i shan't call them that. more than that, seeing each other five days a week, having lunch and dinner, and sharing our dirty little secrets during our idle time have made us friends. and from them i've learnt about important life lessons such as beauty regimes and products, the latest fashion trends (e.g. fish nets and suspenders), how to get extremely excited about tofu, and dating.

and while we will each be assigned our own desk with our own laptop, and split into different departments, im looking forward to lunches, dinners, bitching and whining and teasing sessions, shopping trips, parties and more get togethers.
